Accutane® Class Action

Accutane Class Action is a blog and directory dedicated to providing information regarding Accutane®. Information presented on http://www.accutaneclassaction.info is not intended as legal advice. If you need legal advice you should contact an attorney immediately.

Accutane® is a powerful oral medication that belongs to the family of the retinoids, also referred to as isotretinoin. A treatment with Accutane® is typically 4 to 5 months long for clearing up acne for a year or so, time enough to develop other potential risks that are not advertised with the drug.

Isotretinoin, a derivative of Vitamin A, is sold by Hoffman-La Roche Pharmaceuticals as either Accutane® or Roaccutane®. Accutane® was discovered to be a leading factor in birth defects as well as causing suicidal depression with the possibility of influencing other psychoses, joint and muscle pains, reduced night vision, thinning of the hair, headaches, increased sensitivity to sunburn, chapped lips, dry itchy skin, development of rashes, dryness of the nose, mild nosebleeds and Irritation of the eyes. Other severe conditions include intestinal and urinary complications.

This blog is intended to bring information to the public about Accutane® and to help individuals get information from a Accutane® Lawyer. Our primary focus will be to address how those effected by Accutane® can seek to recover from the devastation Accutane® inflicted in their lives. Although no amount of financial recovery may suffice to return what has been lost to the people affected by this drug, they none the less deserve to be financially compensated.

If you are a law firm working with victims of Accutane® and would like to add content to this website, please email us at info@masstortamerica.com or you can use the contact form on this page. Accutane® Lawyers are needed to protect the rights of the victims of Accutane®.

suicide.

Aggravating Circumstance: Manufacturer has received FDA Warning for “false or

misleading promotional activities” regarding the safety of Accutane®.

“My investigation demonstrates the insidious nature of how the manufacturer, Roche,

and the FDA continue to mislead Advisory Committees and the American people.”

“The off-label use of Accutane® is so prevalent, that some experts estimate that the

improper use was close to 90% among women.”

“I stated that Roche cannot be trusted and will mislead this Advisory Committee as to

birth defects and adverse events related to Accutane®. As my investigation has shown

by June of 2001, it appears that the FDA could no longer trust Roche officials to tell them

the truth or to provide them with documentation.” — 2007 Statement – Congressman

Bart Stupak – FDA Advisory Committee Hearing on iPLEDGE – August 1, 2007
